It shook the house pretty good

On October 15 at approximately 7 am (local time), Hawaii was shaken by an earthquake that measured 6.7 on the Richter Scale. This resulted in several minor injuries and large amounts of building and structural damage on the Big Island.

Shortly after the earthquake, we received confirmation that the house that we have rented for our stay was not damaged during the quake. Some pictures had fallen off of the wall and some wine glasses broke when they fell off of a shelf. We were reassured this would all be repaired or replaced before we arrive in December.

We do not wish for any natural disasters when we are on the islands; however, should the need arise, the Hawaii Five is a resourceful bunch (and one that will drink directly from the bottle).
