Last year I was in Lahaina, Maui for Hallowe'en. What a time to be in Lahaina! The festivities that are held to celebrate Hallowe'en in this historic town have earned the very appropriate title of "
Mardi Gras of the Pacific." (Heard in the background from an overhead balcony during one of Ryan's cell phone conversations that evening, "Show me your boobs!" (repeatedly).)
Being from a small BC mountain town, I grew up with having to wear snow pants and a ski jacket underneath my costume. Therefore, you can understand how I was not accustomed to seeing the various states of undress for the costumes I saw in Lahaina.
Just think of how shocking it will be for me to see people that are not wearing boots or parkas in the middle of winter!
